I am excited to introduce the TeamHealth Research Institute (THRI). Please join me in congratulating Aryeh Shander, MD, who will serve as THRI Director.
“THRI is structured to avail any member of TeamHealth who is either interested or in the process of forming a research or QI project with resources that include review of methodology, scientific value, IRB pathway, current rules of research engagement and assistance in producing a peer reviewed manuscript,” said Dr. Shander. “With the large numbers of clinicians, support staff and millions of patient encounters, the opportunity for identifying un met medical needs as well increasing knowledge base are endless. Our fruits of research and QI initiatives will not only serve our patients and clinical force but will extend to the rest of healthcare both at home and abroad. We welcome participation by all at TeamHealth.”
In alignment with TeamHealth’s commitment to deliver superior and compassionate healthcare, we are committed to enhancing the scientific advancement of medicine and transmitting new knowledge to our clinicians and the broader healthcare community.
Our mission supports the pursuit of high-quality research initiatives by TeamHealth affiliated clinicians and provides best practice resources to guide clinical practice in improving the quality of healthcare delivery. Our vision is to ensure that our organization and its affiliated clinicians engage in scholarly pursuits and generate clinical and practice-related, patient-centered solutions from high-quality and innovative research to create a positive influence on the delivery of healthcare nationwide.
The goals of the THRI are to assist TeamHealth researchers with scholarly pursuits and to provide all TeamHealth-affiliated clinicians with valuable, evidence-based resources that enhance their practices. TeamHealth leaders have extensive experience in academic medicine and clinical research. Therefore, the THRI will serve as TeamHealth’s formal commitment to support research and other scholarly pursuits that advance the delivery of medical and nursing care.
