On World Religion Day at TeamHealth we celebrate our unique, diverse culture and cultivate an inclusive workplace. The focus of the day is gaining understanding between all world religions.
Unifying People through Inclusion
There are more than 4,000 religions practiced around the world, and we can appreciate the similarities among all religions. Importantly, World Religion Day reminds us that it is possible for different religious experiences and observations to exist harmoniously.
How You Can Celebrate
World Religion Day is a time to listen, learn and appreciate similarities we have with one another. It is a day of unity, curiosity and freedom of expression. Use the day as an opportunity to remember to bring your whole self to work and encourage peers to do the same. Religion can be a unifying force, not a divisive one.
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program at TeamHealth
With more than 15,000 clinicians practicing across 48 states and in hundreds of communities, diversity is a value we expect and embrace at TeamHealth. A culture of diversity is experienced in every part of the company.
TeamHealth’s Chief Diversity Officer and executive sponsors lead a 30-member Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. Together, the committee champions initiatives within daily clinical practice, patient experience and business and administrative operations. Two important pieces of diversity, equity and inclusion at TeamHealth are employee resource groups and subcommittees.
Our employee resource groups are unifying networks within the company. They provide clinicians and administrative associates with support, resources and professional development opportunities.
TeamHealth offers four resource groups to our associates:
Additional groups are in development and current groups will continue to grow.
Four subcommittees were individually designed to affect universal change:
- Benchmarking and data
- Communication and change management
- Education
- Patient experience and clinical outcomes
Diversity, equity and inclusion enriches our culture, supports clinician wellness and improves quality care and patient outcomes. It ensures a culture of safety and acceptance for all associates and patients. Learn more about our DEI commitments.
