Baptist St. Anthony (BSA) Health System is an extensive hospital system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. BSA is acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service while being the fourth largest employer in Amarillo with a medical staff of more than 450 physicians and about 3,000 employees. All physicians working at Baptist St. Anthony are required to be board certified ABEM.
Baptist St. Anthony provides 50 hours of physician coverage and 48 hours of APC coverage daily within this level III trauma center. We are averaging an annual volume of 54,000 per year that encompasses 49 ED beds with a 31% admission rate; while dealing with high acuity. Our physicians have access to the most advanced laboratory in the region with a state of the art ED and hospital facilities. There is extensive specialty back up in place, which includes most pediatric specialties as well as scribes at no cost to the physicians. Presently, our ED staff do not handle floor codes, and are using EPIC as the EMR.
