TeamHealth is seeking a dedicated, part-time psychiatrist (1-3 days per week) to join our healthcare team in South Florida. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mental healthcare and providing comprehensive psychiatric services to our short-term rehab and long-term care patients in skilled nursing facilities locally in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe and manage medications
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals and groups (as needed)
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and treatment options
Join a team that provides psychiatry services to adult patients. We care for treatable issues such as anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. You will be a part of an integrated team with a primary care physician and nurse practitioner, and psychologist or LPC. To give you maximum flexibility and lifestyle options we designed our system with a scheduled presence model with a round and go set up- facilities staff based on patient care needs, allowing providers to focus on patient relationships, outcomes, and facility needs. You will be on a team that takes a collaborative team-based approach to patient care.
Experience
- Board certified psychiatrist
- License/certification: psychiatrist with an active Florida license
Compensation is fee for service (FFS). Expected compensation is estimated salary range of $51,000 to $153,000 with no cap on productivity income potential.
