El Paso was an epicenter for the third wave of the COVID-19 outbreak. The entire state of Texas was hit especially hard, but 70% of the patient population in El Paso were COVID-positive and in need of immediate care. The surge strained hospital capacity and the area’s public health infrastructure to a breaking point. We thank Dr. Martin and all of our clinicians in El Paso for braving that wave and providing outstanding care to patients across the city.
Dr. Martin, thank you for your exemplary work and dedication. We congratulate you on this outstanding achievement!
