This month we commemorate the third annual Juneteenth. The day was recognized as a federal holiday in 2021 to mark June 19th, 1865, as the day when enslaved people in Texas were freed under the Emancipation Proclamation. In honor of celebrating and recognizing Juneteenth, we want to share the importance of celebrating and honoring inclusivity within TeamHealth. Since 2020, the Black Cultural Resource Group has acted as a resource for Black colleagues throughout all levels of TeamHealth. The group works to raise awareness and offer a sense of community to Black employees as well as advocating for equity in the Black community at large. In this video, Rex Everett, Vice President, Business Development and Brian Brown, Senior Clinical Practice Manager, Post-Acute Care share the mission behind the Black Cultural Resource Group and the importance of ensuring everyone feels supported and a part of the broader community. Learn more about our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
